Finally the much awaited Google search redesign has been made universal about which earlier I gave some highlights in my Battle of Beauties : Yahoo vs Google post. The Google world was anticipating this change from a long time and finally its unleashed.

Google Search Redesign

Google has not only redesigned the layout and looks of Google Search Engine but has actually redesigned the whole search system. Google users can now search within separate services by just using the Google search engine.

Google 2.0 Trend

The new Google makeover trend is basically based on Web 2.0 and is therefore called the Google 2.0 Trend. The new design has been introduced with some gradients to make the design look more Web 2.0 and the search results have been made dynamic now. You need not to search separately among the different Google services. All of these services can now be searched using the new Google search Technology instantly at one place.

Here is a preview of the new design:

  • Get book cover previews while searching for authors or books
  • Google and YouTube video preview while searching for videos
  • Google Earth Map Points while searching for places

and lots of new features have been introduced.

Yahoo is planning a Search Engine redesign soon too. Lets see who dominates the search engine market of future.
