People love to visit the beach when they’re in California. There are as many as 40 beaches in California. The weather is great in California and therefore you can always find a good beach to surf or swim. The water here is clean and the beaches are very safe. You can locate any beach along the California pacific coast highway. The beach is from San Diego to San Francisco.

Even though there are many beaches there are famous ones versus non-famous ones. Beaches in San Francisco are not that suitable for swimming or surfing. Beaches in Southern California and San Diego are more suitable for swimming. Some beaches in California has many homeless and is not safe for visitors. Famous beach with many goers is Huntington Beach in Orange County for surfing. The waves are suitable for surfing at this particular beach in Orange County. Other beaches in California are not that suitable for surfing. You would need high waves for surfing and other beach waves are not that great. There are professional surfing competitions all the time in Huntington Beach in the summer time.

Huntington Beach is a very safe beach to go to. There has not been any criminal reporting that much at this particular beach.  The waves here are high and are good for surfing but may be harsh for swimming. There is also dog beach at Huntington Beach where you can observe cute dogs or bring your dogs along. Famous beaches for swimming are Corona Del Mar beach, Newport Beach, Laguna Niguel Beach, San Diego beaches, Hermosa Beach, Santa Monica, Santa Barbara and Malibu beach. These beaches have low waves and are clean to swim.

Some beaches that are not rated so high are Seal beach, Long Beach and  Venice beach. Seal beach is nice to look at but the water is very dirty. Long Beach is nice too but it may not be that safe. Venice Beach has many homeless and they live there on the beach. It can be unsafe for you because they may steal from you or attack you. The beach can be dirty too. The bathrooms are very dirty. The homeless there do use drugs sometimes. Other than the homeless you can expect many street vendors at the sidewalk selling their art, dance, and so forth. You have to watch out because there will be lots of beggars bothering you for money too.

Upscale beaches with wealthy residents and celebrity are Newport Beach ,Malibu beach, Corona Del Mar,  Laguna Niguel beach, and Santa Monica beach. These beaches are celebrity’s favorite. They live along these beaches. The neighborhoods real estate are expensive in these areas.You can enjoy a great time at these beach and don’t have to worry about safety issues. These beaches have very exotic views. You can bring your date here and you won’t be disappointed.

California beaches have curfew just like any other beaches. The curfew is 12pm to 5am. Some beach do not allow dogs in certain areas but have dogs beach. There are lifeguards on duty at business hours such as 9-6pm. There are also police and paramedics on site. The beach here prohibit alcohol, dogs, skateboarding in certain areas.

Features of each beach are all different. One of the most noticeable beach with many features is Santa Monica beach. Santa Monica beach is the site for tourists. There are many features on the pier itself. There are also lots of filming here and you can spot celebrity sometimes. There is a wheel carnival on the pier and you can go for a ride. There are many artists and singers performing for tips. There are many shops to buy merchandise and great restaurants.

Malibu beach has great  views from the plateu landscape. There are houses right on the beach that are about several hundreds feet above the beach and you can look down on the beach. These are great views.  It’s a great spot for lovers. Malibu is has many celebrity and elegant houses. It’s very elegant around this beach. It has the VIP atmosphere. You’ll love it here. There’re great restaurants and shops. It’s very peaceful here.

Santa Barbara beach is magnificent too. It’s absolutely beautiful here. It’s very quiet here too. It’s great to come here to relax. Michael Jackson used to live here. Laguna Niguel and Newport Beach have great views too from hundreds feet above the beach. These places are great for your dates. There are many great cultural restaurants here and shops too. You may run into celebrity as well. Newport beach has the Tentation club. It’s one of OC hottest night club for young people. The real estate in these areas are expensive because it’s quiet, upscale and has many amenities.
