As sad as it is to say, with the world the way it is these days, some parents just do not feel safe allowing their kids to trick or treat on Halloween. That doesn’t mean that the children have to miss out on the holiday though. Here are some fun activities that parents can share with their kids to celebrate Halloween.
If there’s still time parents can get in contact with their kid’s school to set up some fun Halloween activities. The school can help through a Halloween party or even a Halloween dance. How much fun does a Monster’s Ball sound to you? The school gymnasium could even be turned into a creepy haunted house. Kids who show up at the haunted house in costume get to go through the haunted house for free!
Parents can even throw a Halloween party at their own home for their children’s friends and/or local neighborhood kids. You could have your kids help you with all the preparations; making decorations, witch’s brew punch, cookies and other treats.
What about local corn mazes, haunted houses and pumpkin patches. Have you ever tried to wait for the Great Pumpkin? Chances are your little ones will enjoy waiting, for a reasonable amount of time of course.
Children have very active imaginations. If you plant the seed and help them out, you’ll find that any of these activities will make for a very fun Halloween for you and your kids!
