Instead of buying skin products in the store, sometimes it is better to simply make your own. By making your own face masks, you know what you are putting on your skin, and you area aware that you are not damaging your skin with any kind of chemicals. So here are some useful recipes which will make your skin clean, fresh, and glowing.

1. Peeling mask #1:
2 tbs corn flower
1 egg white
Mix those two really well and apply it to your face. Leave it on for about 15 minutes. When it’s ready to be washed, use warm water and lightly scrub your face in circular motion. Finish it off with couple of splashes of cold water. (tip: if you want your face to feel even better to the touch, before you start making the paste, boil the water from the faucet for about 5 minutes and let it cool off. Separate the water in two cups, keep one in the fridge for the last step. The reason for boiling the water is when the water reaches a high temperature, it kills all the bacteria and chlorine so your skin won’t feel too dry.)
2. Peeling #2
1 tbs honey
2 tbs ground almonds
1/2 tbs lemon juice
Mix all the ingredients together, scrub it lightly into your skin (face) and wash it off with warm water.
3. Fine lines and wrinkles
2 tbs honey
1 egg white
Mix it all together and leave it on your face for 20-30 minutes.
Wash it off with hot water, followed by cold splashes at the end. (Don’t use this mask too often, 2 times per month max)
4. For fresh looking skin
1 potato (fresh, not baked or boiled).
1/2 cup of fresh milk (organic whole or 2%)
1 egg yolk
Mix the ingredients together and apply it to your face by making circular motions. Rinse it with hot water, followed by couple of splashes of cold water.
5. For dirty skin (blackheads and makeup)
Take one small bag of (baking) yeast and mix it with warm milk.
Apply it all over your face and let it dry thoroughly.
With regular use of this mask you will see the difference on your skin within few weeks.
Yeast contains plenty of Vitamin B and it also helps clearing the acne fast!
6. Clear up your acne in a few simple steps
Peel one tomato (Preferably organic. Dipping it in the hot water will make it peel easier)
1/4 tomato
1 teaspoon of plain yogurt (2%)
1 teaspoon of Aloe Vera gel
4 drops of menthol ethereal oil
When done mixing all the ingredients above, apply the mask to your face. Leave it on for about 10 minutes than rinse it with warm water.

Who decides when a parent needs to let go? We recently ran into this situation a few weeks ago. Our daughter is 22 years old and she just moved out. She took ill one day and needed to go to the ER. She does not have a car, so she called mom and dad. We ended up sitting for many hours in the ER with her. My husband was scheduled to work that day, so, from the ER, he called his supervisor to let her know that he would be late as he is in he ER with his daughter and the docs can’t figure out what is wrong with her. The supervisor said fine, just keep me updated. When we finally got out of the ER and were on our way home, my husband called his supervisor again to let her know that since there was only about 2 hours of work left, he would take this as a vacation day. You see, we live an hour from his work, so by the time he would have gotten there, he would have worked an hour then turned around and went home.
My husband went in to work the next day and was called into the office. He was told that if it has nothing to do with his wife or handicapped son that lives at home, he is not to take off of work. They said that “your daughter no longer lives at home and is an adult now and has to learn to take care of herself.” I was appalled when my husband came home and told me this. So, in other words, if my other two kids who do not live at home anymore are dying, then he can go to them and take off of work to care for them. Yeah right!
Who decided that they were the authority on parenting. Who are they to tell me when to let go of my kids? l love my kids and they mean the world to me. They always will. If they are sick or not, I am going to go to them whenever they need me. Yes, they have to learn to live on their own, and they are, that doesn’t mean that I can’t help them out once in a while. Especially when it comes to their health. I think was my husband supervisor did was uncalled for. Let see what she does the next time one of her kids gets sick and has to go to the ER.

After being diagnosed with cancer I needed to work out more. I needed to find something that would help me get the exercise he wanted me to have, but not over exert myself too much which I was still going through chemotherapy. It didn’t take much for me to get really tired after a chemotherapy treatment, but I knew that exercising just a little would go a long way for my recovery and helping me maintain some weight after the treatments were over. Exercise can help regulate weight, and most importantly help keep you healthy and strong. While my immune system was weak and barely there exercise helped give me energy and I could feel better the more I do it. The energy exercising gave me allowed me to be able to do the things I loved more. I was able to walk down the aisle when my best friend got married, because I exercised a little each day. Exercising can give you that extra boost to do more and try to be more of the person you used to be before getting diagnosed with cancer. I remember feeling like a part of me was lost, but when I would exercise I felt like I got a little more of myself back. But the point was I needed to find something that would work for me.
So what did I start to do? I started to do yoga. It was the perfect thing for me to start doing because I was able to do some of the poses while I was sitting or laying in bed. I didn’t need to really exert myself all that much, but I was still exercising and stretching and toning my muscles even though I was sick. It didn’t take a lot of work and strength to do different poses. I was able to lay in bed and use my arms to pull my legs closer to my chest in an effort to stretch my hamstrings. The more I did yoga the better I felt, the better my appetite came back. The more I ate and worked out the less sick I felt. I felt like I was able to conquer anything because I was feeling so much better. Sure I was still sick and I still got tired and weak a lot, but I still felt great because I was able to do more than I normally would simply because I tried to do yoga, even a little bit each night before bed or in the morning when I woke up.
There are poses that help your respiratory system which was good because my doctor told me that certain medication in my chemotherapy treatments would effect my lungs, so the stronger my lungs were the easier it would be for them to fight against the toxins that could have damaged them. Doing yoga didn’t just make my lungs and muscles stronger, but my whole body. It was easier for my body to fight against the toxins from the chemotherapy, the infections from the cancer as well as just strengthening itself. I honestly think that I got better quicker because I was working out a little bit. I think the more I worked out, I was helping my body be able to attack and respond to the cancerous cells within my body. I did try some of the standing poses that are a little harder than sitting and laying down poses. When I did poses like downward dog, I could feel my blood pressure getting better and I saw it when my nurse took my blood pressure.
Since I was working out throughout my treatments it was easier to step up the workouts after the treatments were over. It was easier to get into a routine and I found my body wasn’t being so resistant to doing different things like walking a long while. Granted I felt some pressure and pain after walking say a mile, but it still felt good, I was able to do it and now after several months I can walk farther without the pain. I was able to focus my attention on working out more because I had already started a little while I was going through treatments. I maintained a healthy weight throughout the treatments and was able to increase it and maintain it afterward. Exercising more helps give me an edge and helps keep me healthy as it brings oxygen and stuff to my muscles and organs that they need. The more you work out the more oxygen and things get to your body and the better it functions through daily activities.
Yoga is such a great exercise because you can do so much without straining your body. You can tone and strengthen your body without causing pain to yourself, unless you do a pose wrong, which I did and it can be painful. While I was working out I was able to get rid of body fat and create muscle fat, so the weight that I put on was all good fat. I look and feel a lot better than I did before I was diagnosed and I think that has to do in part because I have been doing yoga and some other exercises. Yoga makes your body stronger and tone. It also has other benefits such as bringing oxygen to your muscles, strengthening different bodily systems and opening different areas that might be tight. Because there is a focus on listening to your body, I learned how to listen to mine and realize when something was wrong, or when something got better. I knew what kind of foods I needed to eat and what I needed to drink: milk, water, teas, because I became more in tuned with my body and how it functions.
Another thing that yoga has helped me learn was how to focus on breathing and regulate it more. The more I did yoga and breathed a certain way I was able to hold my breath longer for the pulmonary tests as well as when I needed to hold my breath for the CT Scans. Also when I was getting the treatments, I learned that if I breathed a certain way, I felt less nausea and I was able to block out the pain when I got shots and blood work. Doing yoga through my cancer treatments had so many benefits. One of the big things was I was able to sit still during radiation and I learned how to hold still and not move which could have been dangerous. Because I strengthened my arms and shoulders as well I didn’t get pains in them when I held them above my head for fifteen minutes which was how long my radiation treatment was. I felt strong and I am stronger because of the yoga that I did throughout my treatments.
Now that my treatments are over I am still doing yoga, going for walks on the treadmill as well as Pilates each day. The more I do the healthier I feel and I think I improve my chances of not having a relapse. Sure cancer is unpredictable, but exercising and eating right help reduce the risks. I find myself with a better energy and a healthier appetite. Yoga has helped my life so much and helped me deal with the stress and emotions related to having cancer. I still need to exercise and keep myself healthy, so I will keep doing yoga and of course add some extra things into it. I told my doctor I have been doing yoga and he was very happy. For anyone who needs to deal with the stresses of cancer, yoga might be the exercise for you. There are moves you can do while laying down or sitting, so you can do them in bed and you won’t overexert yourself while doing it.

*Before 10,000 years ago I was living in a cave in the forest. After spending a day in hunting I was returning back to my cave and shocked to see a big LION sitting in my cave. Then my brain gave me two options either to fight or run away from the scene (“fight or flight situation”). Then I stated running and I survived from that situation. Thanks to ADRENALINE which helped me. But today I have fear of crossing a busy road, I have fear of speaking to a gathering, I have fear of losing my job… But this time I HATE THIS ADRENALINE which is causing so many problems related to health and day by day my life span is getting reduced. IS ADRENALINE A BOON OR BANE?
*Adrenaline is produced by Adrenal glands when fight or flight situation occur. When it is produced it stimulates the heart beat, dilates blood vessels and air passages, breathing rate increases lot of oxygen is taken by the blood to the muscles. Oxygen rate to brain gets reduced and also has a number of minor problems at that moment.
*Ancestral days, a man is to be lived in forest along with a number of other dangerous animals. Surviving in that world is the major challenge. In order to survive a lot of physical support is required in order to fight or run away things. At that time Adrenaline helps to pump blood in to the muscles and it is dissipated in a physical activity.
*In our modern life surviving for life is not a big problem. We are living in a society where the average life span is around 60-70 years. No need to fight against anybody in order to survive daily. But when a fearful situation occurs such as speaking in front of a gathering or loosing your job, brain commands the adrenal glands to pump adrenaline in to the body. But we do not perform any sort of fight or flight situation (physical effort) adrenaline remains in the body causing insomnia and other heart related problems.
*Today in our modern day life adrenaline is mostly a BANE but one should remember that it plays a prominent role in the existence of our species.

Insomnia- It is related to a major psychiatric condition. I am using Iterax for 4 years and this antihistamine really helps me to sleep.

They can induce the metabolism of a lot drugs so adjustments in dosage may be necessary. It is useful for seizure disorders.

Swedish researcher have discovered the brain´s own repair shop, which makes the brain younger and also repair damage in the brain. But we need help to keep the shop going. The key words in brain training are variety and curiosity. When something starts to go on routine, you should try to change your routine to give the brain a challenge.
1. Play games. Crosswords, Sudoku and Nintendo helps the brain to stay awake. Games that require logical thinking is good exercise for the brain, but not more than 15 minutes a day.
2. Meditation. Meditation is one of the best individual events you can devote yourself.
3. Eat right. Fish, nuts, flaxseed, rapeseed oil and olive oil, all in moderate doses, has positive effects on the brain.
4. Read something you don´t usually read. Learn a new writer, or read about a subject that is unknown to you.
5. Switch off the TV. Average people are watching TV several hours a day. To watch TV makes your body and soul passive. So witch off the TV and do something else.
6. Train your body. When you move your body, the brain must keep track of a lot muscles, arms and legs. When the brain shall help you to keep your balance, and move the body parts you want to move, it must make estimates of distance, location and weight. The brain works when you sweat and feel comfortable with it. So vary your exercise, and you vary the challenges the brain exposed.
7. Tell stories for each other. To tell stories from real life or with the help of the imagination is something your brain likes.
8. Learn something new, preferably every day. Curiosity is one of the largest fitness factors.
9. Do small changes every day. All people like routines, and many have the same interest throughout life. So try to change things every day. All small changes make your brain to be alert.

Why does fitness and weight loss have to be such a struggle? Making a plan with the goals you wish to accomplish is a good way to get started. Do not make your goals unrealistic, remember that you need to give your plan some time before you start to see a difference in your physique and health.
First of all, try to figure out where you are at health-wise and how you think you need to better yourself. Write down all the things that worry you and next to it, your goal. This will be your game plan. Don’t overwhelm yourself trying to do everything on your list all at once instead, take one goal a week and slowly add to that. After all, slow and steady wins the race.
Don’t believe everything you see and hear on TV. Get yourself informed with the right information to help you reach your goals on your plan. With all the different diets out there it can be easy to get misinformed when it comes to weight loss. TIP: Knowledge is Power.
A gym membership is not a necessity if you want to lose weight. A lot of the household chores we do on a daily basis help burn calories. For example, when you do your laundry, hang your clothes on a clothes line instead of using the dryer. Do your own landscaping instead of paying someone to do it for you. I’m sure that if you look around, there are plenty of things to do at home that are considered exercise and an easy way to start moving yourself to a better you.
Working out is a must if you want to get healthier and lose weight. Again I say that going to the gym is not a necessity. Choosing to workout at home is both beneficial and economically friendly. Choosing a good workout video like tae bo, aerobics, or even dance is perfect because you don’t need expensive equipment to do it. If you can’t spend on equipment don’t fret, used canned goods as weights or empty gallons or half gallons of milk filled with water. To optimize your walking session add books in a backpack and go, the extra weight will help you burn more calories. Remember to start slow, 15 minutes a day for 3 to 4 days a week is a good start, then you can add more minutes or days as you progress.
Once your plan is ready, stick to it. Getting a buddy will help you stay on track, motivating each other as the days go by. Starting a workout plan can be overwhelming especially with all the new diet crazes that are promising incredible weight loss with little or no effort and all the new equipment that only needs to be used for a few minutes a few times a week. Don’t be fooled by all the hype, to get in shape you need to eat change your diet and work hard.
Take your health serious and sure you’re eating and exercising the right way. Sticking to your plan should help you feel energized as long as you don’t stray. It usually takes a new behavior about 6 weeks for it to become a habit. Once your new habit is established it means that you are making fitness a part of your daily life style. Congratulations on getting this far!
Monitor you levels to figure out if your workout is challenging enough for you. Add a strength training routine to tone your body and add muscle, it also helps to strengthen your bones. A Cardiovascular workout is beneficial to your heart. Walking, jogging, running, skipping, and even dancing is a great cardio workout to try. Alternate your workout routine every once in a while for added benefits.
To move on to a more intense calorie burning level, try adding interval training to your workout. Interval training is when you alternate periods of rest with high intensity exercises. For example, walk for 10 minutes then run for 5 minutes alternating back and forth until your total workout time is done.
