When choosing the right foundation for you, there are many things to consider. These include skin type, type of coverage required, and the type of foundation you prefer (for example powder, liquid, cream to powder).
I would highly recommend making an appointment with your local department store to get this done as the beauty counters there have a better selection than most and have professionals helping you make the right choice.
If this is not an option to you, then I would advise to dispense a small amount of the foundation from the test pack and apply along your jawline. The right shade for you will be almost invisible against your natural colouring.
I would also recommend having more than one foundation as depending on what you are doing you may require more staying power on some days than others.
You might also want to consider the finish on the product you have chosen; is it illuminating or matte. Is that what you are looking for? If you want to look and feel like you are wearing foundation but find most are quite heavy on the skin - I would recommend a tinted moisturiser.
