A home based business can free you of the stress of having to put your job before your family. Old timers lived a philosophy of work hard, retire and all will be well. Unfortunately that is no longer the way it works, as five minutes of any news broadcast will show you there is no longer an entity called job security.

I do not pretend that everyone is cut out to start and run his or her own home based business. However as a person who is now doing just that I will tell you there is a sense of freedom that you will never have in the job market. If you love to calculate numbers and enjoy people go into the tax preparation field, or perhaps real estate. If you are like me and love to write find as many places to write as you can, the opportunity to make a home based business from it will come.

Along with the above benefits, there are tax considerations that will blow your mind when it comes to running your own business. For instance, did you know you could employ your children with pre-tax dollars when you have your own business? Forget an allowance give the teenager a job! Best of all when it is your own child you are not required to pay in payroll taxes. These are just a couple reasons to consider starting your own business. Think about it, this poor economy may be the best thing that has happened to you if it inspires you to look beyond your job for true security.
