There are many ways to market your business whether you have your own services or products to market. It’s your choice whether to do it offline and/or online. I prefer online since there are advantages more than disadvantages. Few reasons are:

1. Free to do anytime you want wherever you want

2. Easily accessible for anybody with internet access

3. Like number 1, free which means more money to save it for your business to use in order to get more exposure to more people meaning the potential to get more money

Here are some ideas where you can advertise for free online.

a. forums and blogs as well as websites

b. places like craigslist, backpage, adlandpro, etc. Do some research on places.

c. Do it at social networking sites that you are in like myspace, digg, facebook, etc

There are lots of cool ways to advertise what you have and it should be something that people will want for sure. Because advertising is so important, without it, no business will ever thrive in any kind of condition that the economy is experiencing.

As for offline, it’s good to do it in addition to the online one since there are always some people who doesn’t have their own internet access and offline materials can help you with your business.

For offline ideas, there are postcards, fliers, posters, articles, newsletters, endless ideas there.

In addition to the offline and online advertising, word of mouth is the best source for getting potential customers. Talk to as many people as you can to let them know what you do.

No matter what you decide to use, don’t overdo it where if someone said no, just go on to the next person that could be your potential customer. Don’t take their “no’s” personally. But be very persistent on marketing and getting busy with what you do.
